Overview Maps from NYS DOT
The Hudson Valley area is made up of two New York State Department of Transportation regions: Region 8 (Hudson Valley/Catskill) and Region 1 (Capital District). Both regions have overview maps which are useful to get a sense of what existing and proposed routes are out there. Please note, however, that in many cases "proposed" routes may not be roads suitable for riding right now. But they are proposed for bicycle improvements at a later date.
Region 8 (Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster and Columbia Counties)
This is an undated, print map that provides an overview of bicycle facilities (both existing and proposed) in all of the Region 8 counties.
Region 1 (Greene, Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Washington, Warren and other counties north and west)
Region 1 does not have a bike map. However, the Capital District Transportation Committee, which is a regional Metropolitan Planning Organization that operates within Region 1 boundaries has 2 bicycle maps available for download. Click here to find these maps.

County-wide bicycle maps
Some counties in the Hudson Valley have county-wide bike maps that are useful for bike route and trail information that is confined to those counties. The following counties have these maps available
Ulster County
Has an interactive map called REConnect. Use it to find all recreational amenities in Ulster County, including bicycle trails as well as trailhead locations and parking areas for trails.
Warren County
Has two dowloadable bike maps that encompass most of the bike routes and paths throughout the county.
Maps of individual trails
Even though most counties do not have their own bike maps, there are many maps you can obtain for individual bike trails that show the length of each trail, access points, parking, etc. See links below, sorted by county:
Westchester County
Putnam County
Albany County
